Feeling left out?
Too cheap to pay $10,000 for a pair of hideous shoes?

Have I got a bargain for you!

A 4" ceramic model of a Nike Mag - only 350 made - and tonight only $800. Yes folks, only $800 for a tiny piece of clay in the shape of a shoe.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-NIKE-MA...#ht_3860wt_922

But wait, there's more. Buy 2 shoes, i.e. a pair of 4" ceramics shoes and it will only cost you $1600.

And none of that money goes to the MJF Parkinson Charity as far as I can tell from the ad.

I truly hope they don't sell a single one!

You will see everything under the sun being sold with the word "mag" in the title. The eBay bloodsuckers have the scent.

When the first set of shoes was set to roll out I did a quick search of eBay and saw those and my first thought was "oh they are up already and getting $800", then I clicked and read. Pretty ridiculous.

Personally I thought it was more immoral than ridiculous.

Yes it is ridiculous that someone would pay that amount of money for a model of the shoe (and if you do an advanced search of 'completed items' you can see that some actually sold for $400 and $500) but to me it is immoral that the sellers would seek to personally benefit by selling something on the back of a charity auction, which is the main reason these shoes have been created, and then not give a penny to that auction.

The only ones worse than that, IMO, are the ones where they sell the item for a penny, but charge $800 shipping. It costs less in selling fees that way, so they get to keep more money.

If you Ebay.com.au and do a search for Nike Mag, you got some arse who's selling domain names for the shoes and I have a feeling many of those bidders haven't read the description carefully, thinking they are getting a pair of sneakers.:tantrum:

I see some of the resellers are now stating that "a portion" or even "10%" of the proceeds go to the MJF Foundation.

One douchebag is still listing his with a buy-it-now of $1500 and no charity proviso.
