Toll window replacement

I have a large chip in the middle of my driver toll window and want to replace it so I can get my windows tinted.

If I want to get a late NOS part, do I run the risk of the window looking out of place (color/shade) compared to the rest of the glass? My vin is 2506.

Also, what am I running into if I manage to get the assembled version versus just the glass section?

In the meantime, I'm going to check if I can get the chip repaired but I doubt it.

The glass wont look out of place, since theyre the same on all the cars.

Getting it with the carrier will make it easier to replace and *should* work just fine.
Getting just the glass means you could glue it and let the window decide where it wants to sit in the carrier to be aligned. I have to replace mine too and this is the route Im taking.

Cool, same thing someone else told me. For some reason I previously thought they changed the pigment of the factory tint at some point. I went ahead with an NOS part.

No, I'll be reusing my old one and apply window weld I suppose.
