I have a few questions for the Arizona owners on the list.

Are you able to register your D's as classic cars/collector cars/historic cars and do you get special plates?

How is the DeLorean taxed in Arizona?

Does the DeLorean need an emissions test?

I checked up on the Arizona Club's web site and the group looks like it is very active. How many members are on DMCTalk?

In Connecticut, any car over 20 years old qualifies as an antique and receives a special plate. Automobile property tax is then valued at your town mill rate multiplied by $500 per year. As an example, I pay about $14.50 per year to my town for automobile property tax. This is in addition to registration of $85.00 every two years.

I no longer need to get an emissions test in Connecticut. IIRC, if your vehicle is over 20 years old, it is exempt.

I will be heading to Arizona (not in the D though) in the beginning of October and staying in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for a while. Looking forward to meeting up with some people and taking in some of the club gatherings. There is a meet on Saturday, October 8th, but no details are posted yet.

Thanks for any information you may be able to provide.
