The actual vent itself and into the vent also.

On the end of the vents there are rotation switches to close off the vents.

Also did you reinstall the vent sleeves that attach to the back blower box to the baxk of the vent? They can be a pain to get right.

See the 2 rotors on the far left vent and far right vent? They shut the vents off.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180505/58ebb2b1f39bb0f126cdaf0be7b051c3.jpg

They are not powered. Just rotate with your finger.

It's not clear to me whether the problem is being described as the physical vents right at the front that you can touch, tilt and rotate with your fingers, OR, if the problem is back in the heater box area and the air isn't being sent towards the center vents at all?

I suspect the trouble is the latter of these two and it might be an issue with the little lever arm and rod that takes the mode that internal heater box flap is told to be in via the vacuum hoses, and in turn, pivots the air flap to allow the air flow to go to the correct vent tubes. I looked for a previous thread on that being discussed or worked on and I can't find it unfortunately. I've never worked on this kind of problem in my own car, just read about others working on it.

Your problem is on here:http://store.delorean.com/c-302-7-1-1-heater.aspx I just apologize for not knowing exactly which part to point to for you.

In addition to what Jonathan said, sometimes it’s possible to knock the vent fin barrel slightly out of place when you are prying on it. You can check that the wheel knob is still connected.

yeah i dunno anymore, i got the whole center console apart and when i turn on the heat or ac you can hear the fans but no air is coming out from anywhere.

Didb they work before you removed everything?

my bad, i lie. the bottom level vents are blowing air. the blower motor runs. it just isnt pushing air to the top one.

I assume the mode switch in the AC panel is set to something other than heater? Does anything change as you move this through other settings like vent, norm, or max?

My guess on the issue is like Jonathan said. One of the vacuum hoses that runs from the mode switch to the heater box is loose. That's what controls the various doors opening and closing. It could be the door mechanics itself, but given the work done, the loose vacuum is more likely.

Good luck.

A friend of mine installed a refurbished ASI radio and had the same issue. Unknown to him at the time, he knocked the hose off the vacuum actuator that controls the air box flap. I helped him remove the glove box insert to gain access to the vacuum actuator. Low and behold the hose came loose. We plugged the hose back in and solved the problem.

I think Jonathan's correct about the heater assembly flap. There is a small rod with a plastic end that's part of the heater unit. Parts numbered 23 & 25 on here: http://store.delorean.com/c-302-7-1-1-heater.aspx. It opens and closes a flap which directs airflow to either the center vents or the windshield defrost vents (depending on which setting you choose). It's possible that this part is broken, or that the vacuum hose has detached, in which case the flap might be stuck in one position. Turn on your AC and fan. Get down in the passenger footwell with a flashlight, push and pull that rod that's by the center console. Put your other hand in front of the center vents and see if it makes a difference.

Not a ground, but probably a vacuum hose.

Here is a video of the flapper door vacuum actuator in work, for reference: http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?15974-Vacuum-actuator-rod-is-catching-on-bracket&p=227971#post227971
