Has anyone replaced the throttle cable outer housing? I found mine coming apart and was wondering how hard it is to get the new housing in place from the engine to the pedal. Thanks!

Define falling apart. It’s a coiled continuous wire covered with a plastic jacket. It doesn’t really fall apart. It’s not a fun job to replace. Mostly because of how it runs behind and under the HVAC housing.
You’ll need to pull the center console, parcel shelf carpet and possibly the back carpet wall. IIRC the jacket must be pulled out from the front due to the mounting plate having a hole not a slot.

Well, where the cable housing is attached to the throttle bracket, at the spool, the housing has separated from the metal end that has the threads on it. I will take pictures later today and post.

Mine has been like that for 16 years. As long as you push the cable end into the part with the threads and it is seated, it's fine.

If the damage is just at the end where the outer jacket fits into the threaded end, you can pull the inner cable back enough from the pedal connection so you can cut the cable housing back for a clean end, then push the inner cable back out and re-rig it to the throttle spool. This will create a little more inner cable being exposed after the pinch bolt. You can cut that off as desired.
