Quickest Way To Engage Starter?

So I'm having some ignition issues with my car that will necessitate ripping out my steering column and replacing the ignition and key at some point this winter. That's an issue for later, but for now the simple issue is this: I can't use my key to engage the starter, it's simply not going to work.

What's the quickest/easiest way to power my starter and get my car started? I need to move to to a better location to do the work on it, and if I can get the starter to crank, the car runs and drives just fine. What would be the easiest way to make this happen?

If you have the starter relay mod installed. Just pull that relay and jumper the two terminals (row of three, the ends).

Your VIN is late enough that it should have been modified.

What are the two color wires underneath the relay port I'd be jumpering?

Is the steering column lock disabled somehow? If not it’s going to be a pretty exciting drive at the first turn.

If the column has a lock, I've never known about it. It's never had one the entire time I've owned the car.

This isn't a new issue for my car, the wiring in the ignition has been touchy for years, but it's recently given out entirely. I've avoided doing the repair because of how complex it is breaking open the column, and the available of the part itself. Not exactly thrilled. Honestly, if I could do away with the key and tumbler entirely and safely wire up a push button start or something like that, I'd be game.
