Someone once posted a list of common abbreviations and acronyms for various DeLorean parts - WOT, etc.
I searched but cannot locate.
Any help?

WOT: Wide-Open Throttle
CIS: Constant Idle System
CI: Continuous Injection
LCA: Lower Control Arm
TDC: Top Dead Center
I'm sure there are more, but this is all I can think of right now, just to get the ball rolling.

It's a microswitch which tells the CI system to go for full throttle enrichment. Also, for an automatic it is the "kickdown" switch.

Where is it located? My car failed emmissions so I was going to tackle my fuel mixture with a dwell meter. I understand that the reading should be in the neighborhood of 40 at idle once the engine is warm. Further I was told that I should press the WOT switch read 60.
Help?

Do you have a Workshop Manual? If so, read part D.

Automatics actually have two WOT microswitches ganged together, manuals only have one. They are located on the throttle spool bracket.

I am going through a similar situation. When you press the WOT switch the dwell meter should report steady around 50. If you look at the video I posted in the above thread, you can see what the reading will look like. The needle should be swinging between about 35 and 40.

And then there is the PPR, Primary Pressure Regulator, which is often confused with the CPR, Control Pressure Regulator, which (also confusing) is the same thing as a WUR, Warm Up Regulator.

When the boot is a trunk and the bonnet is both a hood and a trunk and therefore a boot as well- things get complicated - no wonder we got a few things wrong.

ISM - Idle Speed Motor, which is really a valve
TAB - Trailing Arm Bolt
FD - Fuel Distributor
Grabbed most of the acronyms listed in this thread, tossed in a few more to make this list that might be suitable for the Resource page:
5573
The list includes several acronyms that are not especially related to the DeLorean, ones that are commonly used in this forum just the same.
