I've been thinking about adding a cruise control unit to my car. I have two options.
1. Install a redneck cruise control which consists of nothing more than a thumb throttle running from the stick shift to the throttle on my carburetor.

2. Installing a professional cruise control unit such as the Audiovox CCS100.

Originally I was just going to install a red neck cruise control but after thinking about it I may have changed my mind. There are plenty of kits on eBay for the redneck cruise control but the throttle cables might not be long enough to reach the engine bay. I guess I could just assemble my own kit but I just don't feel like the hassle.
I then started thinking of doing it the professional way. I read that other Delorean owners have installed the Audiovox CCS100 unit for less than $100. Well to my surpise the unit isn't being manufactured anymore and the closest thing to it is a clone that sells for $170 plus shipping.
Does anyone know of any other low cost cruise control units besides the CCS100 which isn't being made anymore? I didn't mind the thought of spending $80 for cruise control but if it is going to be $170 I might as source the parts to make my own red neck cruise control for a few dollars.
