would it be a wise idea or would it even be possible to use an auto rotisserie on the delorean body?

I'd think it would be less useful on the D than on most cars.

It obviously gives you great access to the frame, undercarriage, etc... But with the D is so (relatively) easy to just lift the body off the frame. With that done everything is pretty easy to get at.

While you could get at the bottom of the tub easier, what would you really need to get at? It might make it easier to deal with rocker panel covers, but I'm not sure what else. Regraining the top at a more comfortable angle?

What means rotisseries?

In my country a rotisserie is where you buy fried chicken:hippo:

John john an auto rotisserie is ver similar to the one you speak of. in an auto rotisserie you bolt the body of the car up to it and you can roll the car to get to the underbody.

I'm guessing you already have access to one to use? I have no experience with them but it seems like a lot of work, and perhaps potential risk. The solution sounds a lot bigger than the disease you are trying to cure at first glance.

Even if you have a buddy that will let you use it - you have to go to his place and then either pull the body off the frame, or drain all the fluids etc. If you want access inside the car for any reason while doing the repair you will have to pull at least one and perhaps both doors off. Then you have to do the repair, wait for it to set up etc and put it all back together, all at your buddies place.

Or you have to acquire and set up a rotisserie - not cheap or easy...

You may be able to repair the fiberglass from above, presumably inside the car, or you may find a local fiberglass guy who will come to you. I know they don't roll boats upside down to fix them, so if they can fix a hole in a hull, your car ought to be easy. And cheaper.

I'm sure I'm misjudging the situation somehow, but it sounds like your getting ready for a really interesting experiment.

Rotisseries, as I am familiar with them, attach to the frame at the bumper mounts. There is no such place on a Delorean and I don't think it will attach well to the body. I suppose you could fab something up. There is an alternative. There is this hoop-looking thing that rotates the whole car onto it's side. If you disassemble the car and take everything off the frame, it is easy enough to flip the frame over by hand on some stands.
