How much tire radial runout is too much?

My D has a very noticeable 'waddle', at speeds of 20 MPH and up. The tires are very recent, but the car did sit for perhaps 3 months, until a week ago, without rolling. I can measure 0.050" of radial runout on both front tires, with most of the runout variation appearing at a single flat spot on each tire. I can't find much literature that actually says how much runout is too much. The DMC FSM says that 0.080" of runout is permissible for the wheels alone, which makes my 0.050" of total runout seem insignificant.

Would this amount of runout, by itself, cause this? Thanks!

Take it out on a nice warm day for several miles and see if it improves.

Mine does that from time to time. I am guessing the flat spot works itself out after the tires come up to temp, granted it usually doesn't sit for more than a few months between drives.

If the tires are over 7 years old they should be replaced. Check the air pressures. If, after a good drive, (over 30 minutes in warm temperatures) you still have "waddle" or flat spots, the tires are no good. Make sure the rims are not bent.
