View Full Version : Refreshing the License Bezel

The paint on the fascias of 3518 is faded from years in the Florida sun, I decided to try cleaning it up with some SEM Trim paint as I have heard good things about using it on Deloreans.

Also replaced the broken plastic clips on the back with metal tabs from a picture hanging kit, held on with some resin glue. Those metal clips are a great idea. Now I have to find some.

Nice work. The clips should have been metal to begin with! Why did you glue them on instead of screwing them in?

Nice work. The clips should have been metal to begin with! Why did you glue them on instead of screwing them in?At some point the screws had broken out of the fiberglass on two of the hard-points, glue was the simplest solution I could come up with. The plate will slide up out of the clips with ease when it isn't attached to the bumper, I have heard that most owners use tape to hold the plate still once its in place to avoid the rattles.
