Hello all, My Power Window isn't responding to my switch anymore. The switch is brand new and I know its not the problem because it worked fine after installation. When I swapped it out to try on the left side and returned it to the passenger side it completely stopped working. I think the problem is in the connector. How can I diagnose the problem. I want to use a 12V Light Bulb Probe Automotive Test Light but i'm not sure where in the car I can ground it to. And where on the connector should I test.

Look at the pins on switch to see if any got pushed in a little. That can damage the internal workings of the switch. You really need to be careful when pushing the connectors on. Sometimes the pins get held to far one way and you need to rock the connector a little.

Swap the switches and see if the problem moves. The way to test it with the test light is to open the door and go right to the wires going to the window motor. Remember, the switch reverses the polarity and you MUST have not only power, but ground (return) to make the motor work. Hook up the test light directly to the motor wires. Up or down, the light MUST light when the switch is depressed either up OR down. If the light lights up the motor is bad, if the light does not light up it could be wiring, connectors, or the switch. The next stop would be the connectors in the roof under the Tee panel.
