Pics of DMCH/DPI shift boots installed?

Hi all,

Does anyone have pics they can share of the DMCH shift boot or the DPI shift boot installed? I'm debating between the two and would appreciate any visual reference from member cars – thanks a lot!

Also curious what you all think. Is one shift boot preferred over the other? My original plastic frame is in good condition with no broken tabs, but I do plan to upgrade to the stainless frame.

The bracket from DIP is nicer than the one from DMC. The DMC metal bracket is not stainless. I believe Josh is using Rob Grady's design. From what I've heard the guy Rob used to make the frames could no longer supply them. So Josh was able to use Rob's design and Stainless Works makes them for DPI. This is all from memory.

I pulled my center console earlier this week and looked more carefully at my Rob Grady shift boot than I normally do. There is a slice through the leather where the stainless frame rubs against the boot, most likely when shifting from first to second. However, the frame is a zillion times better than the plastic version. I'll probably buy another at some point and put some tape or glue a split rubber hose on that stainless edge.

We have our own design but supply this to rob along with a few others products he once made such as door strut reinforcement brackets which have been updated as well.

Our shift boots are cut, sewn and stretched in house by a master seamstress. We absorbed her from the company responsible for producing the cars in one of those action movies with the rock. Fast five cars were designed and assembled in Akron. She is now heading our interior trim program.

Boots are made to order and ship same day if placed before 1pm est with 7.90 shipping anywhere in America.

It is DMC's improved version ( 100688 ) with the metal bracket. It is highly quality and I liked how it snapped on tightly.
