Hi!
Today I drove about 200 km and when it started raining, I turned on my wipers.
After about 2 minutes the left hand wiper stopped, the right hand one drove down to its end position and the wiper motor shut off (and did not turn on again).
It was hard to drive on the autobahn with fog and rain, but it was possible.
Back at home I searched for the reason.
The l.h. linkage rod did fall off the motor gearing and it seems that a blue cable rolled up on the motor shaft. I think this is the cause for the separation of the l.h. linkage rod.
To get to this point I removed the black tube under the steering column, which provides air to the left door vent.
Now I can hardly see the mess, but the pedal linkage is such a big block so it is well hidden behind... On the right side of the pedal linkage end I can see the black wiper motor.
In the workshop manual I only found the information to release the three motor screws and lift up the r.h. linkage (the l.h. one, too- but it is aready released) to get the motor out.
But how to do that? There seems to be no space for anything. If somebody did this before - do you have any suggestions, how to get on to the threee screws fixing the motor on the linkage? I plan to buy a flexible video-endoscope tomorrow to be able to see, what happened there.
I tried the forum search, but I didn´t find any suggestions, photos or "how to" descriptions.

Thank you in advance,

Lars.
