Well, you took it like a champ. How does that compare to Buffalo Wild Wings' Blazin' Wings?
I challenge you to be OC sprayed. You will be a god among men if you take OC like those peppers...

I notice you dipped your finger in the ghost pepper sauce a few times for an extra hit...

So, did you wash your hands before the next visit to the bathroom?

Not sure; I haven't had the blazing wings in close to ten years. And I'll pass on the OC spray! :)

Nah, I've never experienced hot food "after burn".

Well done Mike!

I'll be sure to bring along some hot stuff for the next DMA event I attend. :)

Oh yes, yes I did. I have been eating really hot food for long enough to have learned that lesson!

Ghost pepper based sauces are delicious - the pepper has a very citrus-y taste. Unless you are REALLY hardcore, I don't recommend eating straight pepper. I've done it, and its like stuffing four or five habaneros in your mouth at once.

You took it like a champ. One of my favorite things to do is goto Buffalo Wild Wings with some of my yankee friends and get whatever the hotest thing is they sell over there. Its hot and its pretty entertaining at the same time.

Well that makes one of us!

I was going to ask you this too. Im a hot sauce nut and get really turned off by some of these sauces that claim to be wicked hot but taste like shit. It seems most cant make anything really hot without it tasting bad.

What you want to watch out for are hot sauces with capsicum extract. Extract has a strange metallic flavor, and is just burn. If you can find a sauce with bhut jolokia that doesn't have extract in it, go for it; it will likely be a good sauce.

A good hot sauce is hot as a result of the peppers and flavors used, not hot just for the sake of being hot. A good sauce should bring out the flavor of whatever it is being served with.

You should set up a "Man-up" booth at DCS12. I'd give it a go.

Hah, if I end up going, I'll be sure to bring along some excellent sauces to separate the men from the boys.

Nice Opeth shirt. Us Dream Theater fans tend to be huge Opeth fans as well. They are an awesome band!

I reject your concept of manliness and create my own. Hours of listening to Barry Manilow will be the test...

His stuff can't be any hotter than what we eat down in Louisiana. One of my managers makes a sauce so hot that it causes the lid on the jar to rust. That stuff is soooo good that it made my tounge numb for about 45 minutes. I haven't dared eat any since then.

Yeah, I like some Dream Theater - Images & Words, the one after that (forget the name), and Change of Seasons.

What is with you and Barry Manilow?!

Sure was tasty gasoline!

Yes,

if thread taught me anything, its why your user name is opethmike. Its something I've always wondered. Never heard of Opeth before, and I am ashamed to say that.
Must go and listen to them on-line somewhere.

EDIT: hey, waddya know, they are kicking off their world tour here in ATL tonight. Sold Out though.

You may like them. Keep in mind, while they are a prog band, they don't sound anything like Dream Theater. Usually very heavy, and death metal influenced.

I'm not familiar with Opeth, but have been listening to prog rock in the form of Saga for 25+ years.......

I have it in my will that my great, great grandchildren must finish the bottle of Toxic Waste hot sauce that my wife bought me a couple of years ago if they want any inheritance. A drop of that crap on my finger is enough to bend me over in pain and I'm a guy that slathers things in Tabasco like it's ketchup. Chances are they won't be getting a penny. That bottle will outlive mankind at this rate.

If you like 70s prog rock, give a song or two from Opeth's new album, Heritage, a listen. Its pure old school prog, and none of their modern metal influences.

Toxic waste, eh? I'll have to find some.
