turn signal circuit boards

Well the adventure continues, I tried to get the brake/turn signal going on driver side only to discover the circuit board appears to be bad. And sounds like normal situation. The question is related to getting the upgraded boards with the LED, and if so do you need to change the front bulbs to LED due to the flasher unit change to accomodate the LED lights? And is the upgrade worth it??? And where would you recommend buying them??

The LED flasher should work fine with the front signal lights still incandescent. Basically an LED flasher has electronic timing as opposed to the old flashers that used the load to determine timing.
