Radiator Duct

Is it necessary to remove the radiator duct, in order to remove the radiator? I'd prefer to leave it in, since I've heard the rock screen usually gets ruined in the process.

All should come out for replacement. Would be a serious fight to get it out around that with the condenser in there.
