Finally got #2203 back on the road after undergoing a extensive restomod this past year.
It used to be powered by a stock K-Jet PRV and 3 speed auto. I decided to rebuild the stock engine with higher performance 3.0L heads, custom exhaust, Alpine valvetrain, EFI, distributorless sequential ignition, and Borla 3003 velocity stacks and UN-1 gearbox swap!
I took lots of inspiration from the Alpine A310 race cars which employed triple throat Weber 3C carbs. The EFI velocity stacks are a modern take on the old school carbs.
Still a lot more work to be done, but it's a great feeling to have it back on the road again! I forgot how much I missed driving this car. Now it performs better than ever!

That looks fantastic!
Aside from swapping to EFI, the ITBs likely have a significant bump in power throughout the powerband and I imagine throttle response is instantaneous.

Very nice!
I wonder if by fitting the engine cover(by cutting out the stack opening), you would reduce the intake charge temps?

Yes the throttle response is wild. It is very eager to rev now.
I do have plans on re-fitting the engine cover. The tops of the stacks just barely touch the inside surface of the engine cover. I plan on getting some slightly taller stacks such that they would stick through the engine cover once I get around to cutting holes in it. It should look really cool with just the stack opening showing through.
It looks like you are using microphone shields as air filters? What happens when it rains, or you drive somewhere dusty. I never understood velocity stacks on a car driven with any regularity.

For now, they're temporary. Since these stacks are for a Porsche 911, I'm going to run with a 911 style filter later.

Looks and sounds great!
Also, I live like a quarter mile from where the video was recorded.

Saw your videos on YT this weekend. Nicely done and I like where you're going with the clean firewall.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video. I'll be doing a more detailed one here shortly when I finish up some of the interior stuff and I redo some of my engine bay wiring and hoses. I may be on a guest on a popular YouTube channel here soon so I need to get 2203 in tip top shape!

Here's some more updates to 2203. I have fitted Porsche 911 air filters as well as my custom gated shifter plate and shift knob. Both of which I make and I can supply them to anybody who wants one.
I also added a Renault Alpine A310 steering wheel. Gives it a much sportier GT car look. It's attached with an adapter I also made.
