Hello Group, Is there a list of NLA (No Longer Available) Parts for the D ???. Also, are there any parts that are on that list that would STOP a restoration in its tracks ? Thank you in advance.

No and no. Just about any part is available but in some cases you might have to either fix up what you got or get a good, used part. If the car is a real POS it may not make sense economically to fix it up if it needs too many parts. For example. if it needs a frame, a motor, a lot of glass, and interior parts, and many of the S/S panels are damaged, what is left is more parts than a car.

To get a general idea of what's NLA you can search the delorean.com store website and if the part in question has a 0.00 price then the part is not available NOS or as a re-manufactured part.

As the guru said though, that doesn't mean that you can't find parts elsewhere. Other vendors like DPI are making nearly all of the chassis parts in stainless, including some parts that are technically NLA. Suspension parts, bushings, brake lines, fuel lines, etc. are available new from most of the other vendors. PJ Grady makes bushings to rebuild the original steering racks vs replacing it completely.

If you've got a list of what parts you think you need to replace we can advise on what alternatives there are if NOS is not available.

Interior parts are probably the most difficult to find since a majority of them have not been reproduced (yet). You'll have to find a good used replacements instead, rebuild/restore your existing parts, or send yours off to a vendor for repair. Just Dashes can rebuild the binnacle and dash for example.

Thank you Both David and Mark, This is very good news to me. I am currently searching for a '81. Glad to know my options are open.
