I finally finished renovating the speedo drive system, but I kept getting jumping needle. I think it looked like the upper speedo cable was too long so I tried remounting the old one that was on the car, when I got it, propably the original. Jumping needle disappears...

Looks like the old one is 1/2 '' shorter than the new one from deloreango.com, which begs the question, what is the correct/ideal length, and who sells those?

The inner cable may have a kink in it. Pull it out and lay it on some old newspaper on the ground and see if it lays flat and in a nice circle. Get some speedometer cable lube and put it back in if it doesn't have any kinks.
