Curious, does anyone know when the retaining clip was used for the A-Post? I know that the largest majority of cars have the vinyl wrapped under the windshield to keep the A-Post straight and in place, but with the reproduction A-Posts being made of fiberglass, is it worth modifying them to clip in with the retaining clip?

My windshield is glued in place right now but I want to change out the A-posts. If anyone has any info on how these clips are used (I'd like to try them), please let me know.
