3 posts, smooshed into one today:

1-my speedo stopped working. i thought it was gonna be the lower cable, so I replaced it. still doesnt work. I have the upper cable, but GEEEZ that looks like a whole thing. where's my next suspect? i rebuilt my suspension and put in new bearings, calipers, rotors. it worked at one time, and i think i had an intermittency issue at the fitting at the hub/steering knuckle area. thoughts?

2-my HVAC fan is doing something strange. if I turn the car on at the key, the fan will operate. if i turn the fan dial back to zero, and then try to re-engage it, the fan is dead. I have to jiggle the fuse box. I will hear a relay click. then the fan will engage-only ONCE. if i set it back to zero, the fan is now dead. i found Dave McKee's fan relay kit online, does that sound like the best move?

3-this is Julian. I pulled up to get gas today, and his dad brought him over. he said BTTF was his favorite movies of all time, and if he could get a picture in front of it. i told him "sure, but why dont you hop in?" he seemed really happy. I honestly can't tell if I enjoy the driving experience more than the positive reactions the car elicits.68815

Check the round plastic dust cover, make sure the hole is still square and drives the inner square cable inside the spindle. The other possibility is the angle drive is bad.
For the fan make sure you have the uprated relay kit with the uprated circuit breakers. Inspect the fusebox, you could have some burnt up wires or a connector "backed out" and is not making good contact. Do you have all of the fan speeds?

Thanks! I do seem to have all the fan speeds, when I have the fan. Is this the ideal relay kit?
