Two questions:

1. what is the level of vacuum that goes to the vacuum actuators?

2. if there is substantial leakage at the AC/Heath mode switch, does this have an influence on the engine idle (just in the way it does with any other air leak on the intake side of the engine)

Thanks

In the meantime I have gotten into the answer myself while checking the AC mode switch. At idle, the vacuum fed to the mode switch is 20 inchHG, and when disconnecting the vacuum feed hose one can clearly hear the motor rpm changing (actually becoming unstable, because it screws up the idle settings)

Yes, any vacuum leak to the intake manifold will affect idle quality, including the mode switch.
