Since I have had her this has just rattled around underneath the dash losely so I have poked it behind other wires etc to keep it clear. I can see it has clips on but couldn't see where to put it.

Yeah, your not alone. Mine has been off for years. That clip doesn't seem to hold. I just tucked up and attached with zip ties to stop rattling. Easy enough to cut zip ties to move if/when I need to get up under there and it is in the way.
