yeah I saw he did using LS delorean and flyin miata kit, but seems DMCH have had wildwoods made specifically for their car :confused: that's what I read from the spec sheet

While it all looks good, I think it is overkill. I would have invested the time and money fixing the frame. He did do a LOT in a short period of time. What got him towards the end was all of the tiny things most of us have gone through, bad connections on the ballast resistor, a bad "O" switch, vacuum leaks, and the fan fail relay that fails (aptly named!). He needs the relay upgrade kit and Dave's fan relay. He should also do the upgrade for the "O" switch so it is on the bottom of the pipe like the later cars. If you saw, air came out when he replaced it, that's why it didn't work. He will be replacing the seal soon, you NEVER put grease on it!

he looked back into the camera a couple times hinting power, I smell a engine swap coming soon. i would bet money on it..

funnily enough just before his video released I was having ignition issues: loose ballast connections and dead coil, so why he didn't change them for new spades is beyond me. the original lines still bug me and he should have focused more on making it work rather than look pretty like the frame needed attention before he re-did the suspension, but that's just my experience restoring 5222 which was in far worse state

I just completely restored and upgraded my chassis including brake rebuild, got my discs turned and plated, new pads, new master cylinder, and all new brakes lines. Also got the hubs painted and new SKF bearings. So I'm as good as stock gets right now which is fine but I might do the DPI brake kit next year. The car is never "done", is it?

Currently I'm looking more at safety stuff like adding a Halon fire extinguisher and wrapping all my positive cables in DEI heat sheaths.

The craziest thing is the cluster seems like a simple design. They just put it on screen like a picture. Everything I've seen tells me it's non functional though, otherwise it would have been moving.

This iteration of "New DeLorean" from DMC Houston looks like a poorly modded car you'd see on FB marketplace that was hacked up by the Dreaded Previous Owner and you'd only consider buying it for cheap, knowing you're going to have to put 30k into it reverting it back to stock.

The wheels do look nice, much closer to the stock design than the last attempt. 16 front /17 rear probably would have been a better fit to the rest of the car than 17 /18 though.

I'm sure a bunch of money was sunk into some of the other suspension / engine modifications, which would be great if they were offered as upgrade parts outside of the GTO "Glossblack The Outside" edition.

The good news is that in 2-3 years we'll get another Newer-New DeLorean all over again, and this one will soon be forgotten.

Yeah, that interior is super cringe, and that gloss black every where looks tacky. If I were going to spend that much on a Delorean It'd have to be one of DPIs engine swaps. No way would I ever spend that much on that hideous looking DMCH atrocity.

I'm interested in seat design, steering column, hvac setup, and rims from the DMCH SEMA car.


I know the power steering column and steering wheel is Toyota and I'm in the process of planning the mods for such a swap.

Anyone recognize the HVAC panel setup? Would be cool to move my double din down and move center AC vents to the OE position.
