Original lght key repair

I have the original key with the light that I would like to repair. Obviously going to utilize a new battery and clean the copper. The button does not depress - am I missing any parts?

70508This isn't an original DMC key. They were made by a vendor 35 + years ago. That is far as my knowledge goes. If someone has more knowledge about them it would be great.

This is a picture of the one that I have and it works. So you can tell that your missing the spring. The button on mine is starting to disintegrate.

Yes it's uncut with an original uncut ignition key. I've seen about a handful of these uncut.

The original lighted key was only for the 2 key "early" locks. DMCH, *I think*, did do a repo lighted key for the 1 key system. The lighted key was for the door locks, the other key was an ignition key (there was also a key for the gas cap and if you had the ski rack still another key!).

The keys that I have look a bit different. They're missing the screws and are slightly off center.
Last year I restored the the key lights: sanded the corrosion and cleaned the copper, repaired/soldered corroded pieces with nickel strips, electroplated the copper with nickel and it worked...
At least a few times - the internals shifted a bit and drained the battery.
I don't even bother anymore and use them without the light.

I don't even bother anymore and use them without the light.Thats because the one you pictured is an original. The other ones pictured are the only aftermarket lighted keys ever made.
My original is missing its spring so it doesn't work.
