Has anybody installed it? Admittedly it's been a while since I took mine apart but I'm thinking either I didn't get all the hardware or I got to reuse some and then on top of that it came with two studs that obviously weren't original so I'm kind of like wondering am I making this out to be more complicated than it needs to be?

Post a picture of everything you have and we can help you put it back together. It's a bit tricky because you're looking at a 2D drawing for a 3D assembly in the parts manual.

Pretty sure I figured it out but I need two M7 nuts for the studs and it didn't come with them so I'm kind of stuck

Well definitely don't have enough hardware. No nuts for the studs (factory has bits there) and I feel like something should be between the brackets but the book don't show anything, unless I'm reading it wrong https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240607/dec9472881fc26a184f5b0f9ca7f072f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240607/2a57663fc7544ac895387e58e1626abc.jpg

The lock nut for the tensioning bolt should go on the other side, with the fixed nut on top and the locking nut on the bottom. The front face of the main bracket in the picture should first have two large M7 washers, followed by two nuts. We do include these with the kit. Normally they are shipping threaded onto the studs to prevent too many loose parts in bags. Sent you a follow up email, if you need a pair of nuts and washers we will have a set out this am.

Don?t you just love the way Delorean Industry make every freaking thing out of stainless. When I hit the lottery, I?m going to give Josh my CC and say put everything you make on it.

Thankfully my Delorean is in really good condition I'm just trying to update and make it as clean as possible with taking out a second mortgage haha.

Thanks Josh for the guidence. I got the washers for the studs but for the life of me I could not find any nuts. And of course the nearest hardware store has everything but M7 hardware.:facepalm:

Josh, got them. Thanks it's all good now. And as a bonus the alternator kit came today.
As much as I would love to stuff LS motor or something radical in a DeLorean and really make it scream I don't got the time and the money.
That being said I would like just to have my car on the road again so PRV it is. Doesn't mean it can't be clean and look good.
