With all the Porsche 6-speed swaps out there - anyone with experience utilizing a Porsche 996 2WD automatic transmission? The dimensions seem to be smaller vs. the AWD versions. Curious if a Porsche OE controller/TCU could be used effectively.

Looking at it from all directions, there is absolutely no way.
You can see on the Drivers Side it is especially at the tail. This intersects with the "V" of the frame.

The PDK units look to have much smaller dimensions. Too bad there is no way currently to control the auto shifting patterns with aftermarket ECUs.

I bet it could work, That oil cooler defiantly needs to move but thats easy. 5HP19 trans are pretty good. Same guts used in Bmws of the era.
