I installed DMC Houston??s new and improved escutcheon plate on my driver side door.

In the more than two decades I have owned this car, the driver escutcheon has always slid around and popped out.

The new Houston piece is everything they promise, in my experience.

I did not need to use included additional hardware (a bracket, some rivets, and a screw). It simply popped in and is now quite solidly attached. I??ll update if anything changes overtime.

It is not PERFECT. Two very tiny quibbles: the color is very slightly more matte than the oem piece and the surrounding interior trim. And it does not sit perfectly flush and aligned at the top where it meets the air vent. But neither did my oem one.

It is nonetheless a huge improvement and because it??s a piece I touch and feel EVERYTIME I interact with the car, I am very pleased to have this little annoyance finally solved after all these years.

I highly recommend you pick one up if your escutcheon is a-scoochin (credit to / apologies from my wife for the pun. I loved it)

That's great to hear! Any pics of the new one in place?

Here you go!

I bought both sides, but only did the driver (the passenger has always been nice and clipped in on my car, but figured I'd buy both to have it on hand in case DMCH runs out of these). You can see the slight color mismatch. But in the up close shots it shows how depending on the light, it's really not noticeable. Even when it IS noticeable, you'd have to be an expert on the car to know anything isn't like it came from the factory.

Also pictured is the passenger side for reference. Everything nice and lined up on that side :) Again, the lack of alignment on the drivers side is NOT to do with this product: the old one was like that too. The door panel/card is probably the culprit here.
