I am in need of advice/recommendations for transport of 3 vehicles. The time is quickly approaching, we are getting out of california. I will drive my truck out but want everything else shipped..

any recommendations for a trusted service? someone that has used someone recently? I am hoping for some kind of deal. I paid 2200 for the delorean in closed transport across country 3 years ago.. I am hoping they will not charge that per car if they are taking 3 on one run.. I have not called or priced anything yet. I dont know who to trust. Im guessing some of you have done this more frequently/recently and can help..

Thanks for any advice, recommendations.

Pilot Transport
Shaughnessy Transport | https://www.soexinc.com/

I have used Reliable and Pilot - great experiences with both

The price depends on where you are and where you are going. if you are on the "major" routes, along the coasts, along the southern border states, then it is a lot cheaper than if you are going somewhere less traveled. You can get a cheap price if you use brokers but they may use multiple independent transporters, the car may sit for days in between, it may be open carry, and with multiple carriers with multiple loading and unloading it could get damaged and no one will take the credit (blame) for it. You want enclosed transport, tracking and insurance but all of this makes it more expensive. I have used Horseless Carriage and was happy with the results. There is also Passport.

Roan Trucking is listed as also being a broker.

They have one truck and one driver. Make sure you know who actually will transport your vehicles.

I have been there done that and mine was not a good experience. The transporter I contacted brokered it and was not who I was told who it would be. It was a fly by night independent that eventually delivered it.

I left California for good and moved to Colorado about 5 years ago. Driving one car at a time and taking the bus back would probably be the cheapest option.

According to the news, so many people are leaving California that it is difficult to rent a box truck or a trailer because not enough of them come back. Between the high prices, crime, and natural disasters, a lot of people feel it isn't worth living there anymore. Too bad, it is a beautiful State. What's gas now, over $5 a gallon? The rest of the country it is around $3.

thanks, but that will never happen... im not coming back...

I will probably ship 2 and drive 2.. give my daughter experience of a long road trip and save on the flights out there...

gas is a bonus but not a factor.... we just got back from a trip out there, it was 2.50 a gallon....
