Has anything official been announced yet? I heard some speculation that there might be events in conjunction with the Midwest open house and/or Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit but the DCS Facebook page hasn't been updated yet for this year and it's getting to be time to make travel plans soon if anything is happening. :giddy:

Woodward events are always fun. I used to live right off Woodward at ground zero. I remember the first one - damn it's been 30 years!
I would consider a trip back to MI this year for WDC. My last one was 2018.
I have also been wondering about this.
I heard Rich talk about the proposed Woodward DCS in January, but nothing official.
Im wondering at what point DCS goes back to Even-numbered years, or perhaps it is an odd number year even again.

tough to plan this year with all the BTTF 40th anniversary events going on.

... and it is already May. It should have planned and dates/info posted a while ago.

Maybe Rich is taking this year off. He's had a lot going on, I wouldn't blame him if he needed a rest. Hopefully the next event will be after I retire and can drive my car :rollin:

Would be nice if it returned to the old KK format. A show only in Illinois makes me not want to go. They lost the car show component of it, which was my favorite part. I?ve tossed around the idea of trying a ?faded ashphault society? situation again, but everyone is so segmented that it is hard. There is a nice conglomerate of NC/TN/KY and we combine owners often with events. We could theoretically combine for a larger event and bring back the ?show? part of it. We are getting there, just gotta find the correct venue.

Yes the old format was nice. I went to four of them. If it's located to far that year just wait another two years. I did go to the one in Florida taking the auto train. That was kind of a fun experience. It was nice to have a different location each time.

Auto train...interesting. When did you use that?
Last time I took the auto train in my truck, I specifically noticed: "Factory-model standard vehicles, extended vehicles (trucks, vans and 3-row SUVs) and two-wheel motorcycles are accepted on the Auto Train. Dual wheel, gull wing and scissor door vehicles cannot be accepted."

That was DCS 2012 in Orlando.

I received the attached from a member of the DOOM group (DeLorean Owners Of Michigan) to email to the Ohio group. So it looks like something IS happening this year. Sad that this is the first hearing of actual plans. This late, I can't attend Gilmore but will be going to Woodward.

This must be a super double secret meet up. I'm a member of DOOM group on Facebook, and this is the 1st I'm hearing about it as well.

Sorry for the posting delay … it?s been a crazy, hazy Summer.

Thanks, Rich for the information.
What time do you think the Friday informal cruise will depart from the hotel listed? I'd like to do that if possible.

Best guess, as of now, will be sometime between 10am and 11am, depending
on how the cruise (caravan) shapes up between now and next week. This will
include additional requests such as the one received on 08/09, to add a photo
stop at Chief Noonday Car Park, Yankee Springs, MI (Collector Car Storage).
As long as we remain on 10am departure, we should be able to add this stop.
Our goal is to arrive by 2pm or shortly after, to match the 3pm check-in time
at the Kingsley Inn Doubletree on Woodward Ave (then at Desmond’s FH).

... and the latest flyer received has been updated from $50 to a $25 donation to Desmond Funeral Home's chosen charity for a reserved parking spot Fri/Sat.

DCS being officially (somewhat) announced barely a week before the event - Is this the last one?
I will not be able to attend due to the short notice.

The last real one was in 2014. I went in 2016 and never again. It is officially dead. Doesn?t resemble anything that it once was. With this much time going by, it never will be again. Too much segmentation now in the community. We are back to regional/private events.

This is an extremely pessimistic view on things Mr. Decker. While I am frustrated with the planning this year, I do not agree with your take on the past DCS events at all.

DCS (as we knew it) died in 2014.
All we have now are regional clubs.

The old school DCS was before my time but I enjoyed the Chicago ones I was able to attend. I've had to miss the last couple (including this one) due to work/logistics but I hope I'll make it to the next one. Hope they get a decent turnout despite the late notice and everybody has fun! !
