Hazard switch light

Having trouble getting my red LED to work in the hazard switch. I have tested the LED and holder in the headlight switch so I know it works and it is installed correctly. The hazard switch turns on the hazard lights so I'm thinking there is individual power and ground just for the light. Best I can tell it's the purple wire that has a ground in the same pin going to maybe a capacitor with a yellow wire going back to the switch

It hasn't worked in so long, but the light in the hazard switch should come on with the parking lights just like the headlight switch light right?

I'm going to get the multimeter out and read all the pins for power but this just seems way too simple to be a head scratcher

Sent from my Pixel 9 Pro XL using TapatalkThe headlight switch needs to be on. That supplies the power to the light in the hazard light in the switch. It doesn't light any other way.

One press of the headlight switch turns on all the other instrument lights. So I would think the hazard light indicator would be included in that. If that's the case, it's not working.

Or are you saying you got to go full headlights?

Make sure you have the LED right way around.

Yeah, I said that in the original post I tested it in the headlight switch so I know the LED is good and I assume that positive is the same orientation on both switches.

I had the same issue a while back when I replaced the ac panel bulbs with LED! I had all of them working, except the hazard light switch's... I rocked the bulb, tried to put it back the other way and somehow it worked!

In other words, I don't really know how I did it, but I did it! :)

Yeah I'm going to go back to the wiring diagram. Thinking about it the purple wire is battery power which would make sense because you can turn the hazard lights on just off unswitched battery. There's got to be a separate power coming from the headlight switch when the parking lights are activated. I have to be missing that power or if there are two grounds maybe that.

I just took a glance at it and I'm thinking the fact that my rheostat is not in might be the issue cuz there is a wire from the hazard switch to the rheostat only one reason that would be there

I'll hook that up today and see if that fixes it and if it does I'm a dumbass lol
