I now have where only the passenger door lock does not work when trying to unlock it from other then the passenger door. Well sometimes it does work. So, I tore into the door. After a few cuts it appears the front inside mechanism has a "glitch" in it. Can't tell with it in the car but kinda concerned trying to remove it to fix or replace. Any suggestions on how to remove and will this effect the door latching of the body pin? I did install a new upgraded door lock controller and actuators so that's not it. Added a bit of WD-40, no change. It is definitely in the plastic looking mechanism.

I had the exact same thing happen to mine. I had to pull with a lot of force on the latch mechanism itself to release. I said this enough messing around with this and removed it from the system. I took a hacksaw blade and cut the plastic locking arm off were the rod connects. In my opinion there's no need for both latches to lock. It doesn't effect the full closing and full latching of the door. It just won't have the ability to lock.

How difficult was it to remove and put back in? Did you have to adjust the door locks with the pins? Can you just remove a "piano" wire connector, is that what you are indicating?

I did it in the door. Didn't take anything out. Followed the rod down to the plastic arm then with a hacksaw blade cut it off. Wrap the one of the blade with a towel, i don't need you cutting yourself. If the door opens and closes fine until you have fiscally locked it, you should be good. I didn't take anything out when I was done.
