Odd repair from plastic bag strike.

I managed to run a plastic bag over and I didnt see exit from the rear view mirror. I didn't think anything of it. But today, while washing the car found the bag. It is now melted to my new stage II exhaust behind the cat on passengers side. I tried high pressure wash but nothing. What can I use to clean it off the pipe.?

Once cooled, you can try 0000 fine steel wool. It is excellent for polishing glass and chrome. I would think it may work...

I'd let it continue to burn off, at some point you'll be dealing with ash. I'll check with the coater and see if there is a recommend way to clean or polish the coating. Don't use anything abrasive yet....
