I've been updating my hose clamps on my fuel pressure test setups with the double crimp type clamps. Not that the normal screw type fuel injection clamps don't work (they do seal just as good). But they look so much better than that screw and nut sticking out of the clamp.

Anyway, the tool to crimp them works great for removing the old hose. Just run a cut the length of the barbs with an exacto, then use the crimp tool to split the cut. Works real easy. Even works on the ones I used hardening sealer on when I first made the test setups.

What I did on some fuel lines was make a fitting with a banjo on one side and I formed a quick connect on the other side. That enables me to just pull on or push on the fuel line when I want and I don't have to replace the crush washer unless I remove it at the banjo fitting. Something like that would be helpful when testing fuel pressures.

That's a good idea I did not think of. I do have a large supply of crush washers. I use the ones that were on there when installing the test hoses. Then use new ones when I install the permanent hose.
