Does anybody have a trick to get the rubber duct to go on the plastic front pieces. I got my radio in nice, but I can?t feed the plastic directors in to go on the rubber.

Some have said that popping the vents with the rubber into the freezer will let them hold shape better when you re-assemble. Others have popped the inner vents out of the housing, installed the outer housing with the boots, and then popped the inner vents back in.

Contract Ryan Foster about buying a set of the one piece AC vent bellows he is selling. They make the whole process so much easier. They are rigid yet squish down to fit through the vent hole.

I bought Ryan's vent duct - it's GREAT.

I was able to get mine on OK, but I still would like to get that mod. Do you have a link to Ryan? A search didn?t yield anything.

I found it easier to remove the swivel vents altogether, fix the rubber with everything in place, then pop the vents back in their swivel points

I thought about this, but I figured I would break them. Then I would really be pissed. I getting some of the other bellows ducts. We? ll see how they work.

I also have a Ryan's 3D printed vent pieces. I did find it was a very tight squeeze to get them through the face of the console. They went though.

Ok, I got the ducts from Ryan Foster. These things are beautiful.

But of course, they wouldn?t fit in my car because of the strap that holds the radio.

72094

Don?t really understand how they were supposed to fit like that. I ended up cutting them. This stuff doesn?t cut as easy as you would imagine.

After that I was able to get it together. I still had to make a new mount on the radio to make it fit nice.

All back together and it looks great. The front diffusers definitely go in nice now. Should be minimal leakage of the AC.

Yeah you have to kind of saw the middle section out for the radio support.
