I have a problem with the fuel tank overflowing when I fill up the tank. I know exactly what the problem is: It is the return line as it goes through the boot; there is no tight seal - see picture. My issue is that the little rubber nipple where the line goes through the boot isn't long enough to put a zip tie or a hose clamp on. It's kind of hard to see on delorean.com what is used to keep it in place but I would imagine it is a hose clamp of some sort, or?

You need a small spring loaded clamp as shown here:

It can be a little tricky to get on there, but once its on the leak should stop.

that is interesting, i keep getting the pump shutting off after three or 4 gallons filled. Even when the gauge says empty. But then again the gauge is not right to start off with, so I never really know how much fuel i am getting or needing.

The clamp is DMC part SP10830 for 45 cents.

Thanks all. Dave - you may recall that I was trying to fix this with a regular hose clamp at the track at the DMC Open House. Now that I see what kind of clamp is needed, it should be easy to fix.
Thanks,
Henrik
Have you tried a small zip tie? I've had success using them there. It's a tough job if you have fat fingers but can be done
