Hi all,

Not sure if you are all aware but we have a free online magazine on our club website - http://www.delorean.ie

The link to the magazine section can be found on the menu bar of the website, or you can just follow this link:

http://www.delorean.ie/magazine.html

The idea is that every so often (i.e. when I get some free time!), we will publish new articles here where they can be read for free / no membership fees etc required.

The article just published today relates to a full size replica of a DeLorean body, which was commissioned by an artist called Sean Lynch in Ireland. Neil McKenzie, a coachbuilder based in Waterford Ireland handmade a full set of replica bodypanels to form part of Sean's art exhibition - this magazine article details with many hundreds of photos exactly how this was achieved. A photo of the replica bodypanels is attached - pretty impressive work!

A few more articles are in the works, including a very long interview with Sean Allison who was involved in the Gold car project, and will include some photos of the Gold cars being assembled, along with a scan of his Goldfinger award. I'll post another update here when the next article is published!

Thanks,
John

Really amazing metalwork there. Lots of cool pictures too. I had never seen the ones of the original die condition before, but had often wondered.

Hi lads,

Glad you enjoyed the writeup! I too think the work put into this project is really incredible. I'd love to see Neil recreate a set of bodypanels to make a replica of the first prototype!

I just heard of someone having trouble finding the link to the article on the magazine link supplied previously - just in case anyone else is having issues, the direct link to the writeup of how Neil recreated these stainless steel bodypanels is below:

Thanks,
John
PS please let me know if any links don't work on your system - thanks!

I see these are going to be displayed in London in June, if anyone is visiting there this summer
