If you genuinely are disabled (agoraphobia, can't sit or stand for long periods and all the other disabilities you claimed in this application) you deserve SS disability payments. Though why you would post it here, I'm not quite sure - if you are wondering why people think you are an attention whore, this would be a good example.

If you have none of those disabilities (and for someone who supposedly can't be around people, you seem OK with those Hooters girls), it is even more mysterious why you would post it here. I have to assume that because you were approved, you are actually receiving disability payments. Disabilities that allow you to build a 4x4 Delorean, not the most practical car for someone with physical disabilities to drive, never mind actually build.

Im pretty tolerant with people and will usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they can't be so douchebaggy in person, because the way they come off behind a keyboard is usually wrong. Last night, we made the decision to place Joey on Moderated status until his style of posting changes. With the posting of such items as the video of him attempting to get disability and then state when he has nothing wrong with him- we felt that kind of content and the reactions he was egging out of people was enough to issue a temporary moderated status until he can choose his content better. We did not want to ban him from DMCTalk, as everyone deserves a right to post on the forum, whether or not we agree with his projects or not. However, the type of posts (the constant self-promotion bragging posts) were doing nothing but trying to incite a negative response from people (as seen with the youtube check thread).
Having 3 different threads about one person has deterred from the forums main goal of entertainment and knowledge. When it gets to the point of everyone bickering, it's time to take some action. Joey was more than welcome to continue to post on DMCTalk.org under moderated status, and if his posting style changed, he would have been un-moderated. The same chance is given to any member.

However, as of this morning, JoeyGowdy is permanently banned from DMCTalk.org for insinuating threats against DMCTalk.org and its members. I figured i would personally state this publicly instead of people hearing it from hearsay. Keeping in mind the reason he stated he posted the disability video, and the negative reaction of his scamming of the system for whatever reason he states, a PM'd comment of

Yes the "attempt" was successful - similar to ACORN it was shown on the local stations.

While I do have medical issues none are debilitating (yet) which is why I cancelled the SSI.
to prove that he could get disability, even though as quoted from him he is able-bodied, he wishes to make threats of discrimination against the disabled, which will not be tolerated at all. We will not allow any such threats against forum members or the forum in any way, shape or form, especially from someone whose reason for making such a video is in question.

Yes, he's his own worse enemy. Most of us don't bother posting in his threads let alone read them. Especially click on his pointless links. I felt sorry for him a few years ago until I saw that YouTube video of his grandma's funeral. Who the hell does that? Then that crap he posted about that young girl. That was it for me. I don't remember the details but he was in his 20's and she was 13 or 14. He posted pictures of her and YouTube links of her calling her a crazy ex. I believe she dumped him when she was 16 and he was 23. I just found parts of it on one of his "official sites" telling him she's happy now and dating some guy her own age. NOT GOOD. This guy needs to be banned from the web. My wife calls him a stalker and creepy. Another of our members said he has had problems with Joey sending crap to his 14 yr old niece. Joey says it's not him but we will know today

Anyway, that's what brought me here. You guys have some nice toys that's for sure. A delorean must be a fun car to take out on a cruise. Parents checking their daughters accounts making sure he hasn't hacked them. I had a feeling it was this bad. "Joey Paul Gowdy" is used for his self-promotion.
"JoeyGowdy" is used as a screen name for registration purposes.
"RowdyGowdy" is used as a screen name for registration purposes, but hasn't had as much use.
"Rowdy" apparently is an offline nickname (most likely self-appointed) that is popping up more and more online.
If I find more, I'll see where they lead me.

Very interesting. Most photographs appear to be from his high school years. Since then, in the words of Brian Posehn, Hickory Flat must have had a 14 year hotdog eating contest... He's ballooned up over 300lbs. Not really a big deal that I would look down upon, but the constant recycling of images shows that while he loves attention, he is very ashamed and embarrassed by his body type. He tried to lose weight with P90X, but failed miserably. Dropped off after only 3 posts. He if was actually successful, he'd have been posting it EVERYWHERE I'm sure.

Speaking of attention seeking, this is a very common theme here. I'm seeing him pop-up on boards everywhere seeking it out. At first it starts with asking for help about something and trying to get attention. As interest either dies down, or he's rebuffed, he starts stoking the conversation again by adding additional information. Once that's all used up he'll switch to antagonizing people to keep the conversation going. He LOVES attention though. That goes without saying, but it's fascinating at the lengths he's willing to go to get it. Not much else to do with a Charger except to change it into another General Lee clone (I myself would go the Frank Booth route if given the chance with black glossy paint and blue velvet interior trim). That of course gets attention, but only so much. Then there is the DeLorean route. Unique, sure. But that wears off quite quickly. BTTF is overplayed, so then there is the modification route. But he's not exactly a great fabricator. So he goes with the Monster Truck route, and gets the bonus of getting to ride Rich W's coattails by proxy. It also renews interest in the form of help, as well as when that runs out he gets to antagonize people and troll for attention.

My favorite item here is that he also now claims to be a preacher and a devote Christian. Probably a compound effect of his delusions of gradeur where he can pretend that he's only been misunderstood because he's tied to a higher power more important than people that don't like him, as well as he's pissed off everyone around him and wants to play the "turn the other cheek" card to leech forgiveness from people who should otherwise know better. Also loves Gundam and lost other fantasy stuff. I really though got a kick out of his statements that he's considering a police career at his weight and with the videos of him and police scanners.

Family appears to also own a used car lot, which would explain the easy access to cheap cars and trucks. They're probably really not his at all, they just belong to the business. If he pops back up the best way to antagonize him back is to neutralize him by being dismissive of him, and his things of pride by erasing their value. Move on to quizzing him about his personal life. Specifically challenge him on sexual prowess & physical appearance. If you want extra innings, go for matters of faith. Do not ridicule, do not make fun of, and do not alienate him. Draw him in to you, not the other way around. And then hold him up to his own statements, and as you tear them apart, so will you tear him apart.

This has all been fun, and I'm sorry I was late to the party on this one (new job with crazy hours), but other than this the sorry truth is that Joey's real handicap is that he's a spoiled brat with enabling parents who never taught him how to live outside his delusions. So he's nothing more than a permanent child who will never grow up, just grow old. And not worth anyone's time except for being a feeble moron to beat back down for fun whenever he raises his ignorant little pinhead to speak about things which he does not know.

The difference is, Bill is welcome to come back. It's his choice that he's staying away. I have made sure his login works, and as long as he doesn't jump all over people, he can continue to post under moderated status for right now.

Mr. Gowdy will have to find a new outlet for his postings, and judging by what i saw, he has decided to post at DMCHelp.
