Hi everyone i am restoring *4969 at the moment and ive lost ignition spark. I changed the fuel pump and metering head and renewed and cleaned the whole fuel system. I started the car and drove it out of the garage and let it tickover for a while, drove it back in again and it conked out. Checked it over and found that there was no spark,i fitted a new coil and resistor unit, upgraded the chassis and engine earth and still it refuses to to spark. Has anyone any ideas what i should be looking for?

Can you check the voltages around your engine with the key to on? These are my documented voltages from current fight with Red. My problem is fuel related so these are good numbers.

Positive battery jump point: 12.12 (key off is 12.6)
Left side of resistor - 9.46
Right side upper - 11.5
Right side lower - 7.74
Coil positive - 7.57
Coil negative - 1.5
Ignition wire - 1.71

You may have a disconnect in the blue/white wire from the ignition relay to the resistor pack.
It's the connector in the yellowish transparant cover below the resistor pack.
Disconnected? No spark!

Happens more than once.

I got a chance this evening to check the voltages and the connection below the resistor pack and all are as they should be. When cranking the voltage at the + side of the coil drops slightly to 5.5volts. Has anybody any other ideas?
