I found this coming out of a hole in the aft passenger side pontoon. If feels exactly what it looks like, the bottom of a plastic funnel. The object is completely loose and rattles around when shaken and can be pushed completely inside the pontoon. I've looked all around and there seems to be no way to get it out short of cutting into the fiberglass. I know the underbodies were assembled in two parts, and I don't know of any access covers to the pontoon. Does anyone know what this thing is, Or how it could've gotten in there? I'm not even sure it is a funnel, just sounds and feels like it. It does not have a driver's side counterpart.

for some reason that pic on the right didn't upload with the proper orientation. 90deg clock wise would let you look at it like I took it. Thanks

I have this too. I believe it is used for water draining purposes.

Yeah, I thought about that, but if that was the case why not put one in the other side? Also, it seems to have a lot of mass on the other side, even if that was its purpose, the water level would have to be very high before it did its job. Lastly, what not secure it? Is yours floating as well?

Doh, :banghead:

I still don't see how it does it's job effectively. Is it supposed to float around? What about the other side? Oh yeah, and how do you get it in there?

Thanks again!

There are two openings where you can gain access. the easiest is where the intake plumbing (http://store.delorean.com/c-333-1-4-0-air-inlet-systemair-cleaner-assembly.aspx) goes through the pontoon:

I think that is to drain any water that gets into the air intake.
