So here's a weird one. I ordered a new drive flange from PJ Grady, but the new one doesn't QUITE look the same as my old one. It's notably taller, and the locking pin hole is higher up. I emailed a pic of the two to Rob, and he said he'd never seen that before.
My car is 2.5 hours away from here so I can't run out and see if it fits, but I figure I'll give it a try this weekend and see if it does work or not. But has anyone else seen this before? Is this just a different, compatible version of the flange, or is it actually incompatible with my transmission? I have a very early VIN (767), but I'm on my fourth transmission now, although I don't know if the final drive was ever swapped out or not (usually I'd ask them to keep whatever they thought was salvageable to try to keep the price down, so it may well be original for all I know).
The flange on the left of the picture is the new one from Rob, and the one on the right is my original one.
Thanks!
