Too much misinformation to comment on. I think this car was offered on Washington DC or NOVA C/L late last year. I never went to see it, but that car was missing its side trim as well.

Wow, Lots wrong with this. He is surprised the lights work? Painful to hear how hard he slams the hood closed, same with the engine cover, either he slams it or it doesn't close as easy as it should.
Original or period correct radio? I think not. 33,000 miles on the clock is less than 1,000 miles per year? How does that math work? DMC made far less manuals than automatics? Not sure where he did his research, but a great deal of it is wrong.

looking at the door edges, it appears this vehicle (VIN 04552 for posterity) was painted black at some point...

Definitely some misinformation in the video, but a not a bad video (at least there was no coke jokes) The last Delorean they had in the shop was back in 2002. I know this, because I talk to guy on FB who bought it.

After reading reviews for the dealer, I don't want to touch this car with a ten foot pole...

This is why people should NEVER trust car dealers. I just called him. He's asking 19,000. He also seems to have no clue about math when determining the age of this car. EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS!!! He's so impressed with power windows, air conditioning and the "very rare" 5-speed. Furthermore, when he rev's it, it sounds like he's going to blow it up.

Poor Delorean!:( Why do they have to fall in the hands of people like that?

The fuel gauge looked broken, too.
This guy does sound easily impressed for sure. How many times did he need to mention the air conditioning? I notice he didn't point out that it worked... :)
It also bugged me that he couldn't get a single sentence out without every other word being 'ummm' or 'uhhh'
On another note, since I just discovered that #2100 has the ULTRA RARE 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION, it is now for sale with only 50,000 original miles for a one time, Black Friday, low low price of $200,000. Given the fact that it has that ULTRA RARE 5 speed and even still has all the rub strips, I figure it must be worth at least that much if not more.

I agree - there's not a Mercedes out there I'd buy, much less pick over a D.

From the way everyone's getting worked up I expected the video to be terrible and full of wrong info. It's obvious this guy is excited about the car and probably did a some research before hand, knowing leagues more about the car than people usually do. Sure he didn't get it all right but for for a non-owner I am impressed.
As to him closing the bonnet and hatch - again I think only an owner would be more delicate.

I guess that's true.... this particular aluminum DeLorean didn't have a Ford-built cocaine burning engine....

I don't know man, I usually stay away from these threads, but he got almost everything wrong, enthusiastic or not. He's selling a product. If you were about to drop the asking price, you'd want the correct information.

Are you high? Become an owner or do more homework before you defend a clueless/shifty salesman. Enthusiam is one thing, bullshit is another.

Agreed that he's selling a product and everything should be taken with a grain of salt. But I would argue he didn't get 'almost every' wrong. From interactions I've had with people who see my car and comment on it to some people selling a DeLorean, I've come to expect no real knowledge of the car but rather a bunch of myths or misinformation.
Stuff he got right:
Made in Ireland
Stainless (not aluminum or bare mild steel as some believe)
JZD, father of the GTO, awesome career
Power windows and A/C (not a strong point, but exotics and sports cars often leave these out, even today)
Aluminum block, 2.8L FI, same engine used in the PRV trifecta (but I can't speak to his claim that most cars did not use an aluminum block)
Renault made the transmission, forward facing
Non-stock radio (not sure about his period correct claim)
Production years and rounded quantities for the 81 and 82 model years
A little more power driving the manual vs the auto
People still think the car is cool, and often gets more attention than modern sports cars
Model name, DMC-12
Stuff he got wrong:
5-speed being rare, most being automatic
Year math (had a hard time calculating that these cars are just at 30 years old, not 30-40)
Mileage math (he had a hard time estimating the mileage per year to reach 33k miles)
Struts working just means they were replaced, same with stickers, no big deal
Engine parts easy to get to (debatable point to some, but not as easy as he claims)
50/50 weight distribution
Forgot to include production numbers for the 83 model year
Cars going up in value (no one knows the future but if the past is any indication they'll tend to hold their current value)
Anyone feel free to update the list if I missed or misrepresented anything. I feel aside from the bolded errors, his accurate knowledge far outweighs his inaccurate claims considering most people no nothing but misinformation about these cars.

Classy. I'm not going to respond by insulting you back, but I will say I believe comments like yours are the reason small communities like ours get torn apart.

It's too bad if Flemmings deals in lemons, but my argument was more so addressing the fact that he had most of the info correct rather than trying to defend them as an ethical business.

Appreciated. I perceive the D community is more a family than many other online groups so any animosity is a bit surprising.

First post here...
I don't care if the guy doesn't know about Deloreans. You can't really expect him to be an expert on every car he sells...
Anyway, given that it is missing its trim, was once black etc... How much do you think this car is worth?

Can you please give some details? I just saw the ad and on their homepage it looks not bad.
