Hey all. This is probably a silly question, but I've been trying to figure it out and can't.
Does the door to the engine bay have an in-built way to prop open?

It should, but the mechanism is pretty commonly broken.

The prop is located on the firewall and holds on a bracket close to the bottom of the lower engine cover. As previously posted it is usually broken. Other options to repair this include a custom louvre bracket that attaches the cover by the louvre latch instead.

I can't remember how many times I was showing my engine to someone and they grab and pull down on the cover to close it. AGHHHHHHHHH! DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!!:nono:

This happens to me all the time as well. I try to keep a hand on the cover or at the very least make sure it isn't open when I'm not next to it.
