I got it from amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Momo-RCE35BK1B-Leather-Steering-Wheel/dp/B001P28R8O/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

The Adapter from Delorean
http://store.delorean.com/p-9251-steering-wheel-adapter.aspx

I made the center jewel from the wheel cap - a little filling and it fits perfect!

It looks like stainless - It feels perfectly home in the D

Very nice! I really like how the shape is somewhat close to OEM but has an upgraded feel with the brushed metal. Nice work on the center cap too...the whole thing looks like it could have been from the factory. This is definitely a mod I'd consider on my own car.

is there a certian Momo wheel you need to use or what do I look for ? I imagine it has to be a certain size (mm). Also, I've never seen one so I can't imagine how it is situated or how it looks, etc.... but can you post some pics of the steering wheel adapter ? or...is it not even visible once installed ?

the wheel hub you get from DMC, they say it will fit all momo wheels. I love the look of your wheel. Does it make a real difference driving? I was wanting to get a momo but that one looks great a still has a semi stock look. Great job.

Nice! Is that a gold finish or just the lighting?

It's the lighting, it looks like a grained stainless finish.

I think the adapter will fit most Momo wheels, but I'm not 100% sure.

Since you installed it, I assume you really need the adapter...
According to the Delorean Wiki you do not. I guess that is wrong?
(was hoping not to have to spend another $70-80 for the adapter)

the only think i would love to change with the steering wheel is that cheap plastic cover behind the wheel. Has anyone done anything different with that, or when you install the new wheel do you just get rid of that cover piece?

Yes, you definitely need the adapter. The stock wheel is molded to include that spacing. 5 inches or so I'm guessing. The momo wheel is essentially a flat disk shape.

Also, the adapter is necessary because it has the splines to mount to the 22 mm nut for the stock steering wheel , the momo neds to bolt to the adapter to do that.

I bought the momo adapter. Although it did work, it was not ideal. It's about an inch shorter then the DMC one. My hands kept hitting the turn signal stalk. Get the DMC one for sure.

I will try to post a pic to clarify it.
