Has anyone tried or have John's Easy Rider 2 shocks?

I was thinking of picking up these. I heard the Easy rider 1 were to soft. I have not seen or heard any input on the easy rider 2. Any info would be greatly appreciated...

I just ordered a set but haven't received them yet. I think they are the same ride as the Easy 1 so they may be too soft for you. All I know is that my current original shocks feel terrible! Hard as a rock!

If you like the feel of a Caddy going down the road with blown air bags. That is how it feels. Stick with Spax shocks. Everyone is sell them now for this reason.

im just looking for a alternative to my hard rock shocks I have now which are original. I dont want to spend a fortune since I dont drive my delorean that often.

I know of two owners in Louisiana that have Hervey's Easy Rider shocks and both seem to be happy with them.

I'm using Spax shocks and am happy as well, other than a problem I had with one which resulted in a shock having to be replaced.

I would not call them floaty. I love the ride with mine. Now my wife's Impala is a car I would call floaty but I don't think it has anything to do with shocks (struts).

well I am glad to hear this....tried to cancel my order (didn't want to drive a "floaty cadillac") but they are already on the way...

this is good to hear. i will probably go with them. i still dont know difference from easy rider 1 or 2. I called special t he said they were the same....now im really confused....

I bought my Easy Rider shocks before they were "1." At the time there was no "Easy Rider 2." Southeast Louisiana has a lot of rough, pothole-strewn, and washboard-like roads so I didn't want a "sport" suspension. I have since installed Houston's Eibach springs and I think the resulting ride is just stiff enough.

Just received them...seem pretty soft...I can compress them by hand fairly easily.
Thinking about lowering the car....not sure what to do...I actually kinda like the stock stance

John, please keep me posted to as how the car rides with them? What springs do you have on your car? I am using PJ Gradys lowered springs

I think I am going to try the stock springs first....you will have to wait until spring for the road test though :bawling:

No problem! Glad it is resolved. Keep on DAP to return the back units. If you have not installed either side then returning shouldn't be an issue.
