I have been seeing quite a few Deloreans with NCT's, so I'm begining to wonder. lol

I have the original NCTs my car came with sitting in my dads garage. I'd never dream of mounting them and driving on them. 30 year old tires don't exactly instil confidence!

They are made of rubber they will be around a long time, doesnt mean they are something you'd want to use.

If I had some, I would just mount them on my garage wall or something.

I had original NCTs on #16128 when I purchased it, they were absoluetly terrible! Only 11,000 miles on them and they were complete trash. They were not worth saving, there are plenty of concours quality sets out there, so I didn't feel bad about recycling them.

Naaa, there's nothing "DeLorean" about them. Just old Goodyear tires that were mounted on hundreds of other cars. I tend to get nostalgic over things I probably shouldn't. I try to draw the line somewhere.

Same here. When I bought my car last summer, it still had the original NCTs. When the car came home I got new tires ordered from Discount Tire. A week after the car came home, the car got new tiresfirst time in 30 years. The inside of the rims were very clean when the old tires were removed.

Totally 80s

I drove a Delorean a few years ago that had the original tires on it still. It was like driving a life size Hot Wheels car. The tires were so hard when you went around a corner the whole car slid. Little scary.

In what year did Goodyear stop producing the OEM tires?

I recently sold VIN 3049 Which I had purchased in 2003 with 4,800 miles on it. The car came with Yokohamas mounted and the original NCT's with low miles. The new owner was not interested in the NCT's. If anyone is interested, send me an email.
