Ohhh its an Investors' Edition, too! Wow. I wonder if it runs. It looks SUPERB and for $10K, that blows my mind.

I knew someone that had one of those:thumbup: I sat in it one day and took a bunch of pics of it. He sold it later and bought a 2003 Esprit.

To be perfectly honest, it's probably a 16-19k car(if it's really #7), not 35k, but still I don't think I could have passed that one up. I would have to build another garage for her.

My friend has a white 88 we bought in 91 for 40k and drives it all the time. I can not fit in the car, 6ft 4in tall and 160lbs. Fit great I'm my Delorean, good thing JD was tall and slim.

I've never been in an Esprit. I heard they are minuscule inside! 6'4" myself...

They are very noticeably smaller inside than the DeLorean. At 6'4", the Esprit may not exactly be comfortable for you.

Yes _ just sitting in one is a feat in itself:blackeye:
I met one in Ontario, a 86 model and the owner let me sit in it. He had to tell me how to get inside. I think I rub my feet on his front console panel! I do not know if the post '88 model is more roomy...
The D is indeed way more spacious!

Dayyyumm....10 grande! I bought #10715 for $9,500. Been shelling out ever since. Once, I pulled up next to a guy in Richmond,MI at a stoplight who was driving a silver Turbo Esprit. He was waving and grinning from ear to ear. I rolled the DeLorean's tiny window down and said, "Same windshield!" lol good times, beautiful car.

The ebay ad gave a lot of info about Esprits in general, but nothing about that specific car. I like that it's a limited edition, but hate that script font used on the door to display its production number.

With no info about how the car was maintained over the years, the new owner took a pretty big risk buying that car. Could easily need another $10-15k worth of work.

nofear365 read my post in the thread below regarding riding in and driving a 1985 Lotus Esprit.

Im in love

As much as I love the Lotus Esprit I can’t believe some owner trying to sell a 1983 Esprit with such a low production number with four shoddy pictures. Come on if you are trying to sell a car don’t stand some one in front of it. And please take better pictures outside in the daylight.
And for the description of the car there is no mention of any service work done at all. No examples of what is original and what has been rebuilt. I would not have taken the ad seriously and I don’t believe some one picked it up for ten grand.

Another one still for sale at a more realistic price.

Did they never offer the NA version of the 80's Esprits in America? Seems like you only ever see turbos for sale.
