If it is an 83' what is up with the different hood. I own an 83. I thought the hoods were flat on that model year? I would not drive around on those old tires. Some thing just is not right here.

I noticed that too. My recollection was that many '83's were put together with "left over" parts which often meant it could have had a whole whack of interesting combinations.

I could be wrong.

It is commonly accepted that all VINS starting with #10001 and after were built with flat hoods and the emblem. More than likely it was swapped at some point in time. Anything is possible from a switch at a QAC, to a switch at the dealer to get it sold, to previous owner preference, to an accident that happened at some point in time.

Must be a late '81. It has grooved hoods and a clock. The '83s didn't have clocks. I don't remember the VIN cutoff date though.

The clock looks "brotek" and interesting gear shift boot, very 80s!
