When installing engine mounts can you lift the engine too high?

Installed new engine mounts today. Used a block of wood under the oil pan on the jack, etc. Removed the CAT and muffler for two reasons (one, expand working area, and two, because I'm replacing the CAT with a shielded one.)

We got the new mounts in place which required some lifting of the engine via the jack in places. Does this or can this stress the connection point between the engine and the transmission? How do I know if I have damaged anything along the drive train during this process?

The mounts installed fine and were properly torqued to spec. At times I was worried that I was lifting the engine out of whack with the transmission, but maybe I'm just paranoid. No noises or leaks to suggest anything. Just wanted to know if anyone has advice about this for future work?

Should be no issues. The first interference point is usually the top of the clutch fork hitting the shock tower brace. (Actually the tail pipes hit the fascia first but you eliminated that one).

I think if you lift it up with the car out of gear you will be fine. I was nervous too. Just don't try to install the engine mounts if your new shiny exhaust headers are already on. Do the mounts first with no exhaust on the car ! Much easier.....
